Olive Crest Nevada hosts April Events for Child Abuse Prevention Month

LAS VEGAS – This April, Olive Crest in Nevada invites Southern Nevadans to join them as they wear blue to bring attention to the fight against child abuse during Child Abuse Prevention Month. The nonprofit organization, dedicated to preventing child abuse and strengthening families, will be hosting a wide array of awareness events and fundraisers. Downtown Summerlin kicks off the month by turning ONE Summerlin blue on Saturday, April 1, 2017, and culminating with Olive Crest Nevada’s signature annual fundraiser: Be the Change. . .An Evening of Hope Gala held at the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa on April 29, 2017.

“Olive Crest works year-round to prevent child abuse. We are only able to do this vital work because of the generous support we receive from the community.  We depend on our April fundraising events during Child Abuse Prevention Month to fund our efforts all year long,” said Laura Armeni-Kneesel, director of development at Olive Crest in Nevada. “When our supporters donate their time and resources, attend an event, or simply wear blue on April 7, they encourage everyone else in the community to show their support. They also help to raise awareness about the essential work we do to prevent child abuse and to rebuild families.”
