ABOUT FM MARKETING
FM Marketing was founded in 2004. The average price for a gallon of gas was $1.60 and Facebook was only available to Harvard students. Our office consisted of dial up internet access, a dilapidated desk, and one pro bono client; Las Vegas Valley Humane Society.
Since that time, the company has grown from a grass roots firm, to providing public relations, marketing and digital media services to some of the most respected organizations in Nevada and California, such as State of Nevada Division of Child and Family Services, Home of Guiding Hands, SafeNest and Faith Lutheran Middle School and High School.
The marketing landscape is constantly changing so we believe the most effective way to serve clients is to focus on four key industries.
About Susan Somers
Susan Somers created FM Marketing to carry out a mission to combine a passion for nonprofits with her PR expertise. Somers has designed and implemented hundreds of successful PR and marketing campaigns for critical needs causes such as foster parent recruitment, child abuse prevention, domestic and sexual violence prevention, and services for individuals with disabilities.
Somers was born and raised in the Los Angeles metro area. She graduated from California Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with an emphasis on marketing. She has been a Nevada resident since 1992 and a part time San Diego resident since 2011.
In her spare time Somers can be found chilling with her family and collection of rescue pets: a feisty Chihuahua, a sweet but coy cat and a sneaky Mohave Desert Tortoise. Somers enjoys ziplining, reading, hiking and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
While creating and growing a successful business has been an amazing journey, Somers is most grateful of the opportunity to be a mom. In 2011 Somers fostered and adopted a child through Clark County Department of Family Services. Her experience as a foster and adopted mother gives her a unique perspective in creating foster parent recruitment campaigns.
