LAS VEGAS – Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School’s Crusader Knight, an annual gala that provides students need-based tuition assistance, will be held Saturday, Nov.3, 6-9 p.m., at JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort and Spa’s Valencia Ballroom, 221 N. Rampart Blvd. Over $900,000 in tuition assistance is expected to be distributed during the 2018 – 2019 academic year.

The evening will feature a gourmet dinner, silent auction, gift card grab, and a live auction containing one-of-a-kind experiences and emceed by professional auctioneer Mike Kinney.

Individual tickets are $250 and sponsorship opportunities range from $2,500-$25,000.  Sponsorship packages include premium table seating, advertisements and recognition in promotional materials. Guests will be treated with a special performance by Christian comedian and magician Rory Johnson. Considered one of the top comedy magic acts in the world today, Johnson has made tens of thousands of passengers laugh throughout the world on the finest cruise ships afloat.  He’s appeared in Las Vegas, starring in shows at the Lady Luck, Monte Carlo, Tropicana, Gold Coast, Sun Coast, Sam’s Town, and other hotels.  Currently he is the star of The Worst Show in Vegas, a family show.  Johnson has been featured on the covers of both MAGIC Magazine, the world’s finest periodical for magicians, and the Fellowship of Christian Magicians magazine. Recently Rory wrote, produced, and directed the new faith-based family feature film, Guard Dog.

Crusader Knight will honor Margie Desruisseaux, a former Faith Lutheran administrator who is credited for creating programs and fundraisers that helped build the school into what is now the largest not-for-profit school in Nevada and the largest Lutheran school in the United States.  Desruisseaux will be presented with the 2018 Heikotter Award, an honor bestowed annually on donors who have shown leadership and dedication to the school.
