Crusader Knight Gala Provides Students Pathways to Success

Event raises monies for scholarship endowment fund and tuition assistance programs

LAS VEGAS, NV – September 23, 2015 – Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School’s annual Crusader Knight gala will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 6-10 p.m., in the Valencia Ballroom at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort and Spa, 221 N. Rampart Blvd. Funds raised benefit the school’s scholarship endowment fund and tuition assistance programs, which enable students who otherwise can’t otherwise afford a Christian education the opportunity to attend Faith Lutheran. For the 2015-16 academic year, the school will award more than $1.3 million in tuition assistance.

The Crusader Knight gala is open to the public. Individual tickets are $250 and sponsorship opportunities range from $500-$25,000. Sponsorship packages include premium table seating, advertisements and recognition in promotional materials. Tickets can be purchased online at www.faithlutheranlv.org. Sponsorship opportunities are available by calling 702.804.4410, and all donations are tax-deductible as provided by law.

Keynote speaker Johnny Quinn, a U.S. Olympian, will deliver thought-provoking messages on leadership, teamwork, motivation, faith and social media. Quinn was a member of the U.S. bobsled team and competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. He has traveled the world with Team USA, and has competed in Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and Switzerland. He is also a former professional football player with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL.

The gala will also honor Heikotter Crusader award recipients Jane and Stuart Engs, whose leadership and dedication to Faith Lutheran over the years has truly been remarkable. The Engs moved to Las Vegas to open a Peterbilt truck franchise in 1991, and since then have participated in several local charities with the goal of giving back to the community that has given them so much. Stuart Engs chaired Faith Lutheran’s “Build Faith” capital campaign in 2012, which provided funds for a new Competition Center and a state-of-the-art Mock Trial Courtroom among many other campus expansion projects.

“We are excited to honor the Engs for their great generosity to Faith,” said Dr. Steve Buuck, CEO of Faith Lutheran. “Crusader Knight provides a fun and entertaining way to provide tuition assistance for our students.”
